Billing and plans

Prepaid, by the hour, in shillings.

Plans

• Hobby, TZS 12,000 a month before VAT: for one person, including TZS 12,000 of usage, up to 3 apps with 3 vCPU, 3 GB of memory and 3 GB of storage in all. Apps sleep when idle.
• Pro, TZS 75,000 a month before VAT: one price for the whole team, including TZS 75,000 of usage, with no limit on apps or resources.

Change plan from the Billing page. The fee accrues by the hour, so a month on a plan costs its fee whenever you join or change.

How you are charged

Each hour, once it has ended, its fee and the usage of your running apps are charged to your balance. Usage is first drawn from what your plan includes; beyond that it is charged at the hourly rates on our pricing. An app is charged for CPU and memory only while it is awake. 18% VAT is added to every charge, and every hour is on your ledger.

No month's charges pass TZS 100,000, VAT included.

Topping up

On the Billing page, choose an amount and pay with M-Pesa, Mixx by Yas or Airtel Money, approving the payment on your phone, or with a card on ClickPesa's payment page. Your balance updates as soon as the payment is confirmed.

Spending limits

On Pro, set a monthly spending limit. Owners are emailed at 50%, 75% and 100% of it; at 100%, deploys pause until the limit is raised or the month turns.

When the balance runs out

New deploys and changes pause at once, and the team's owners are emailed the time running apps will stop: 24 hours later. Until then they keep running, so the balance can fall a little below zero; your next top-up covers it first.

If you have not topped up by then, running apps are stopped: scaled to zero, with their data, variables, domains and history kept. Top up and each one starts again with the replicas it had.
