Custom domains

Serve an app on a domain you own. The certificate is issued and renewed for you.

Add the domain

  1. Open the app and go to Domains.
  2. Enter the domain, such as shop.example.co.tz.
  3. The page shows the DNS record to create: a CNAME with its name and value. The name is the part before your own domain, which is what most DNS providers ask for.

Create the record

Add the record at your DNS provider. datahuru checks it on its own, and shows each step as it completes: the record found, traffic routed to your app, and the certificate issued. Use Check now to look again straight away. Changes at a DNS provider can take a few minutes to spread.

A bare domain

A CNAME cannot be set on a bare domain like example.co.tz. Use a subdomain such as www, or a DNS provider that supports ALIAS, ANAME or CNAME flattening at the root.
